Our CEO & Creative Director, Lars Gustavsson, alongside Senior Design Director Daniel Berlin, embarked on their first visit to Cologne as representatives of TTK Games. It was hard not to feel that infectious excitement after the absence of E3 and years of pandemic isolation, as we immersed ourselves in this event where developers, business people, and gamers come together in a maze of halls, stands, and plates of currywurst. The transformation of Cologne from a peaceful city basking in the sun to a bustling hub of over 300,000 game lovers is truly a wonder to behold!
We loved it so much and would like to say thank you to those who approached us at the event and those who joined us to talk about potential careers at TTK (shout out to Kate Harrison, our ace recruiter, who was with us on site to talk with new candidates). It was so refreshing to hear from all of you on the games we have made and played together over the years and what they have meant to you. This means the world to us!
Talking of games. Daniel, Amo and Adriaan have been playing their way through Elden Ring, Diablo IV, Remnant 2 and now Baldur’s Gate 3. Congratulations to everyone at Larian on a staggering achievement! The fact that Daniel has set up a TTK Games Miro for Elden Ring as our hub and centre of the universe is testament to the dedication he puts into making us all succeed.
Now that we are back in Stockholm, summer does indeed still linger, though our focus is shifting from sun lotion to game creation. Since getting back together after the summer break, we have grown to become a studio of 21 developers, with more great minds joining through the autumn. We have now moved and are settling into our fully branded TTK office in the heart of Stockholm. We have also set up in the Southwest of Sweden, with our own office in Gothenburg, where we can help local developers connect and join TTK.
As we grow, the focus is now on prototyping and validating our game concept to prove that it’s fun to play before launching into production.
We are also still looking for great talent and, as you might have noticed, we have given our webpage an overhaul to give you an even better understanding of who we are and what we are up to.
In just a few days, on the 7th of September, we will have been running the studio for ten months, and I’m extremely proud of what we have all accomplished:
- We have onboarded 18 people into the studio, with the intent to relentlessly improve our processes to make it the best experience possible.
- We had our first TTK Summit in June where we came together to celebrate our achievements, look for potential improvements and to have fun together.
- We now have our full floor of office space in a relaxing and creative environment where we can meet, talk and push boundaries together.
- We have gone from seven different game concepts and boiled these down to the one that we believe in and will start prototyping.
- While catering for the possibility to work from home, we are delighted to see that so many choose to spend most of their days together in the office.
There is something magical in seeing super talented and humble developers come together to collaborate in the creation of a brand new game experience and we can’t wait to share more with you all.
Thank you, team. There is no one like you!
